Pettti Skirts

I have been wanting to make these cute petti skirts. When dad and Nedra came in town this week I jumped on the chance to have Nedra help me because she is the master seamstress. We had so much fun doing it. I got Lisanne's made while Nedra was here and then last night I stayed up until 1:00 am sewing Kelsey's. I was just so excited to make it and since everyone was in bed and I had no interruptions I took advantage of it and sewed sewed sewed! I still need to put the finishing touches (making rosettes for the tops and a satin ribbon on the side) but that will be easy. I had the girls try them on so that I could get a couple snapshots. I had so much fun making these. These will be the girls Easter outfits. Hopefully when my sister Gwen comes to visit she can get some great pictures of the girls decked out with her good camera and photography skills. She and Krista plan to make the skirts for their girls too. Fun stuff!

Kelsey's Ballroom Meet

Kelsey had a ballroom competition this past Saturday. There were four elementary schools that participated. Kelsey did the swing dance with her partner. Two couples in each of the different dances got a medal. Kelsey and her partner won a medal for best technique! We were all pleasantly surprised when they called out her number 105! It was so exciting to see her and her partner go up and get their medal. I love self esteem builders like this. It was so good for her!
Here is Kelsey at the end wearing her medal. She is standing with her friend Amberlee

Kelsey and her cute little 4th grade dance partner. He was a good little dancer and could keep the beat!

Here is a video of Kelsey doing the "swing" dance.
